Dr. SK Rajan

Dr. SK Rajan is an ‘AO Spine International’ certified Spine Neurosurgeon currently working as Head of Spine & Associate Director at the Artemis Hospital, Institute of Neurosciences at Gurgaon. He brings with him over 15 years of experience in Neuro-Spine surgery accumulated from around the world & from a wide spectrum of institutions. Prior to joining Artemis, he was heading a team of full time Neurosurgeons at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, New Del. This had followed his stint as an Assistant Professor in the Neurosurgery department of VM Medical College & associated Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi over a few years period.

Having had significant exposure in spine surgery during his Neurosurgery residency, he has, over the past years, been focusing extensively on Spine Surgery in the form of National and International Spine Fellowships interspersed with extensive cranial and spine surgeries at GB Pant and Safdarjung Hospitals.

His stint at Safdarjung hospital has been marked with many ‘Firsts’ in the country like spinal tumor removal using endoscope and endoscopic decompressions of chairi malformation. He is also recognised in the national Neurosurgery circles for successfully applying and popularizing the Goel Technique for complicated cases of the CVJ.

He is one of a select few selected from around the world for the prestigious International World Federation of Neurosurgeons Fellowship to USA for the year 2009.
